Our Story
Simon was born in India and when he was an 8-year-old boy his Father came to Christ and started a house prayer group which soon developed into the church (Jesus Comes Ministries) that it is today. Simon has been closely involved with the church and its ministries ever since. In 2017 he did a Discipleship Training School in India and in 2020 he went to Switzerland to follow the School of Biblical Christian Worldview. There he was equipped with the practical tools to set up projects to bring meaningful change to the local community, and so the Women’s Empowerment Project was born. After the 3-month course he went back to India to establish this project. In 2021 he returned to Switzerland to work as a full-time missionary, where he is now still working together with his wife*.
His wife* is from the Netherlands and grew up in a missionary family. In 2021 she did a Discipleship Training School and later that year did further missionary training. In the meantime, her family had moved to Switzerland to be missionaries there with and after her training she went to Switzerland to visit her family. During her stay she also joined the School of Biblical Christian Worldview, in which Simon was involved. There they fell in love and eventually got married in June 2023. They have been continually working on their vision and mission as a couple, in both the country that they live, Switzerland, and the country Simon comes from, India. From this process Restoring Hope was born. Restoring Hope is the umbrella name for the different ministries they are called for, the different gifts and talents they use in their work, and the different nations they reach out to.
